A Dog Who Pees Everywhere - A Tale Of Murphy Part 1

I didn't know who it was. This strange lady went up to me. She looked huge compared to me. I looked around frantically for the other dogs -- but to no avail. I would have to do something. And then it hit me. If this lady really wanted to keep me, should would have to love me for who I am. So I peed on the mysterious lady.

Long story short 5 years later, I met two new human beings. They seemed odd at first, and I didn't know if I could trust them or not. So I hid by my owner, hoping that she would protect me if they tried to do something to me.

I've always had this problem where I get scared of people. Since I have a weak bladder (my brother Riley laughs at me all of the time), I pee. People look at me like I've done something wrong, so I know that I have done something wrong. I go into the corner, hoping that they will forget and go back to petting me. Eventually they do.

Anyway, these two people seemed to like Riley more than me (Riley is better with humans) which was good. I just hung out with my owner, and this other person that I had met maybe a month ago. I don't know the exact timetable, although Riley might be able to give you an accurate guess. Riley is good with time -- he generally knows when it's mealtime. But sometimes he'll sleep in too far and after we've had breakfast he'll bark like it's time for dinner. Maybe it's just because he wants to eat my food.

I've discovered that if I roll over, they will give me a sense of approval. They will then rub my belly, and it feels so good! I try to tell this to Riley, but he seems especially grouchy at the idea of rolling over. Maybe it's because Riley can't get back. He is my older brother after all, and he's getting older.

These two people disappear for 2 months after that, but after that's gone they seem to show more interest in me. Summer turns to Winter and soon it's pretty cold out. That's bad for me, but Riley basically has a built in winter jacket.

I see those two people less and less -- maybe once every two weeks -- but then they start to stay home all of the sudden.
